Kagman High School teacher Elizabeth Basa and sophomore Cyrena Ada were selected as the CNMI’s representatives to the Young People’s Continental Congress, a national program that brings 28 teacher‑student teams to Philadelphia to study the nation’s founding era and draft a modern declaration on American democracy.
