While Sinlaku’s winds never reached typhoon strength anywhere on Guam, days of tropical storm-force winds and inundation created the perception that the storm was more powerful on the island.

Forecasters are watching Invest 98W, which could bring 5 to 10 inches of rain to Guam and Saipan.
