Four Guam Department of Education high schools will move to double sessions this week, with Okkodo High School students sharing their campus with Simon Sanchez and Tiyan students attending George Washington High School.
Meetings about the double sessions will be held at 6 p.m. Monday at the Okkodo High School main cafeteria and the George Washington High School cafeteria.
Students from Tiyan and Simon Sanchez high schools were originally supposed to share the Tiyan campus.
During a Saturday morning press conference, Superintendent Judith Won Pat said a health inspection of the campus was scheduled for late August, but was delayed because a furniture order had not arrived.
The school year began, and “unfortunately, yes, there was this photo and some comments being made that hit the media, and from there on, it alerted Public Health because of the odor that was reported.”
Three days after school began, the campus was closed down. It remains closed while repairs are made.
