Saipan Ice and Water truck driver Jimmy Pallada, 62, has been charged with vehicular homicide in connection with the July 23 crash in Chalan Lau Lau, that killed a motorcycle operator, according to CNMI Department of Public Safety.
DPS said its preliminary investigation found that Pallada failed to yield while entering Chalan Pale Arnold Road, causing the collision that fatally injured the southbound motorcyclist. Investigators said the charges were supported by physical evidence collected at the scene, witness statements, and Pallada’s own account of the incident.
In addition to vehicular homicide, DPS said Pallada was charged with failure to yield the right‑of‑way and operating a motor vehicle with an expired driver’s license. The case has been forwarded to the Office of the Attorney General for prosecution.
