Guam senators will resume the budget hearing Tuesday for the Department of Parks and Recreation after it was placed into recess last week by Government and Finance Committee Chairperson Chris Duenas.

No appointed or acting director for Parks and Rec showed up for the June 2 budget hearing, which Duenas described as disappointing.

On Thursday, senators will conduct an oversight hearing of the agency, focusing on the Vicente A. Limitaco Cemetery, the Hagatna Pool restoration, Paseo Stadium and parks along Hagatna Bay.

Tuesday’s hearing will begin at 9 a.m., while Thursday’s hearing will be held at 2 p.m. in the Guam Congress Building.
