Guam Power Authority announced Thursday that commissioning of the 198-megawatt Ukudu Power Plant has been delayed until December.
The independent contractor building the plant told GPA that one of the three gas turbine generators requires both on-island work and overseas rotor restoration.
This new issue is unrelated to the previously repaired steam turbine rotor.
GPA General Manager John Benavente said the issue is outside of the agency’s control, but GPA will continue providing updates to keep the community informed.
