All three gantry cranes at the Guam Port Authority are operational again after they were damaged by high winds on Oct. 2.
The U.S. Coast Guard has also restored the port to normal operating status following Typhoon Champi.
Previously, commercial vessel traffic was allowed, but movements were restricted to daylight hours while navigational aids and harbor conditions were assessed.
Port personnel are continuing to examine facilities, equipment, marinas and waterfront infrastructure, looking for any damage caused by Typhoon Champi.
However, port officials said the assessments are taking place alongside ongoing cargo operations, so recovery efforts do not interrupt the movement of goods through the port.
