PAL reconnects Saipan to Manila, Asia-Pacific destinations

Philippine Airlines

Philippine Airlines will restore direct flights between Saipan and Manila on Oct. 26, re-establishing what the carrier calls an important air link between the CNMI, the Philippines, and major destinations across Asia ahead of the peak holiday travel season.

In a media release, PAL said the reinstated route will give Saipan travelers “convenient and direct access to Manila,” with onward connections across its domestic network, including Cebu, Boracay, Bohol, Palawan, Iloilo and Davao.

The airline said the service will support a wide range of travel needs, from tourism and leisure to business, education, healthcare, and medical referrals, as well as visiting friends and relatives. It will also enhance Saipan’s access to PAL’s international network through Manila, with connections to Hong Kong, Bangkok, Singapore, Taipei, Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Shanghai and Kuala Lumpur.

“This connectivity provides travelers from the CNMI with more convenient options for leisure and business travel across Asia and the Asia-Pacific region,” PAL said, adding that the route strengthens Manila’s role as a gateway between the Philippines and the Pacific.

The carrier said the restored service will also support travel to Saipan through a direct link from Manila, promoting tourism, business exchanges, and “stronger people-to-people ties between the Philippines and the Northern Mariana Islands.”

Passengers will receive PAL’s full-service experience, including inflight meals, baggage allowance, and “the warmth of Filipino hospitality throughout their journey.” Flights may be booked through PAL’s website, mobile app, hotline, ticket offices, and accredited travel agents.

Founded in 1941, PAL is Asia’s first commercial airline and operates nonstop flights from Manila and Cebu to 29 domestic and 40 international destinations. The carrier was recognized for the highest on-time performance among Asia-Pacific airlines in 2025 and was invited to join the oneworld Alliance in 2026.
