A new restaurant has opened its doors in Tamuning, offering sandwiches, hot dogs and French fries in a space inspired by car culture. Grease Monkey Dive-In is currently operating under temporary hours from 4 to 8 p.m, Tuesday through Saturday, this week. The restaurant is located in the SOMA building next to the First Hawaiian Bank in Tamuning.
Owner Bryan Duenas said the inspiration behind the restaurant’s drive-in and car-themed concept is to create a gathering place for Guam’s car community while also welcoming the island community as a whole. Grease Monkey Drive-In is now open for business and is also seeking to hire additional staff.
