Conservation district leaders from across the Pacific and Southwestern United States will meet on Guam this week to discuss agriculture, natural resource management and capacity building.
The gathering is coordinated by the Northern and Southern Guam Soil and Water Conservation Districts.
The 2026 National Association of Conservation Districts Pacific Southwest Regional Meeting will provide insight into Guam’s conservation practices and raise awareness of the unique challenges facing tropical island environments and arid landscapes of the Southwest.
Pre-meeting activities will start Monday, with the main session convening Tuesday morning.
The meeting will be held until Aug. 28 at the Hyatt Regency Guam, with the theme, “Currents of Conservation: Navigating Soil & Water Stewardship.”
