The Federated States of Micronesia recently wrapped up the Kamorale Expo 2026, previously known as the Micronesia Expo, in Pohnpei.

The event brought together communities from across the Federated States of Micronesia for four days of cultural displays, traditional performances and local cuisine.

FSM President Wesley Simina described the expo as an important platform for tourism, trade, innovation and sustainable development.

“The Kamorale Expo is both a celebration of our identity and a platform for collaboration, stewardship, and resilience. It strengthens tourism and trade, empowers small enterprises, and connects our communities to national growth,” the President said.

This year’s Expo emphasized the nation’s youth, who shape Micronesia’s culture through art, music, digital technology and climate advocacy.

The word “Kamorale” became the FSM’s official greeting in 2024. It is formed by combining the first two letters of greetings from the four states of the country into one unifying expression.
