Another airline resumed service to Saipan this week, with a Hong Kong Airlines flight landing on Saipan Monday.
The flight arrived with 156 passengers aboard the 162-seat aircraft, representing an approximate 96% load factor.
According to the Marianas Visitors Authority, the second scheduled flight of the twice-weekly route is also expected to achieve a similarly strong load factor, reflecting encouraging demand for the restored route this summer season.
Passengers arriving aboard the first flight were greeted by traditional dancers, providing visitors with their first taste of the Marianas' hospitality.
The resumption of service follows the return of Jeju Air's Incheon-Saipan flights in June.
