The Department of Revenue and Taxation is warning Guam residents about a Facebook page falsely purporting to help people get driver’s licenses without taking required tests.

The page, which features a photo of the department's building in Barrigada, attempts to lure Guam residents into a driver’s license scam, according to Rev and Tax.

“Residents are warned against falling for this scam,” Rev and Tax stated in an announcement. “Report and delete this Facebook page if you come across it.”

The Driver’s License Examination Branch is Guam’s only authorized source for driver’s licenses and identification cards, and the tests are legal requirements to keep the island’s roadways safe.

Rev and Tax also said residents should work with an authorized driving school to get the necessary requirements for the graduated driver's license process. It includes taking the written test, accumulating road hours and taking the road test.
