Guam’s economy will be the focus of a meeting at the Guam Legislature June 10, with agencies providing updates on jobs, tourism and federal spending.
The Special Economic Services Meeting will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at the Guam Congress Building.
The Committee on Finance and Government Operations will conduct the meeting, which will start with a look at fiscal 2026 revenue tracking.
Agencies will provide information on outstanding American Rescue Plan funds and Federal Emergency Management Agency reimbursements.
The Guam Visitors Bureau will provide an update on tourism in 2026 and the outlook for 2027, and the Department of Labor will present the economic outlook for fiscal 2027.
Agencies will also update senators on the status of military contracts and their effect on GovGuam revenues.
The meeting will be broadcast on local television and streamed on the legislature’s YouTube channel.
