The Legislative Committee on Health and Veterans Affairs will conduct an oversight hearing today on Guam Memorial Hospital.
Senators plan to ask about oxygen levels at the hospital, following an islandwide disruption of liquid oxygen last month that paused elective surgeries at GMH.
The senators want hospital leadership and staff to explain plans to divert a crisis with oxygen supplies in the future.
Lawmakers also expect an update on the operational status of Guam Memorial Hospital Authority, financial updates and fiscal outlooks, and updates on procurement and staffing.
The hearing will be held at 2 p.m. in the hospital’s education classroom.
