Guam Visitor’s Bureau reported continued year-over-year growth in tourism numbers, with February arrival numbers showing a 14.1% increase over February 2025.

There were 69,535 arrivals last month, as compared with 60,935 during the same month last year.

Still, arrivals were down 49.3% from February 2019, which was a record tourism year and the last full year before the COVID pandemic disrupted world travel. Arrivals that month were 137,244.

GVB’s Board of Directors met Friday to hear updates on arrival statistics, marketing plans and approve the agency’s $30.5 million 2027 budget request, 5% higher than the 2026 request.

The biggest chunk of the budget, about 44%, is designated for marketing.

Destination development, including beautification programs, cultural events and visitor safety programs, makes up about 28% of the budget, with the remainder going to administration and research.
