After an administrative delay was reported earlier this year, Guam property owners should begin receiving their tax bills next week.
The Department of Revenue and Taxation announced that the certification of the 2025 Real Property Tax Roll took place on Wednesday.
Rev and Tax said the delay in getting the bills out was a result of a complex technical issue with property tax assessment and billing software.
Because of the delay, Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero has extended the payment deadline for 2025 real property tax invoices until Dec. 31.
This extension exceeds the typical timeframe taxpayers get under the regular billing schedule.
In addition, all penalties and fees associated with the delay have been waived to provide relief to property owners.
