The University of Guam will celebrate its 58th Charter Day on Thursday, beginning with a 9 a.m. opening ceremony at the Calvo Field House.

This year’s theme is “UOG Rising: A New Era of Growth, Service, and Impact.”

The campus-wide event — the largest annual community gathering at UOG — features cultural performances, live entertainment, and activities for all ages.

Some 50 vendors and 10 food trucks will be assembled at the center courtyard from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Special Charter Day apparel will be available at the Triton Store pop-up.

Cultural student organizations and performance groups, an ROTC demonstration and the student hut competition are also planned.

Campus tours will be conducted from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. from the Dr. Lucio C. Tan Student Success Center, and Tech Fest 2026 games and activities are planned at the Office of Information Technology/Computer Center.

Charter Day commemorates the anniversary of UOG’s founding and the 1968 charter that renamed the Territorial College of Guam as the University of Guam. The celebration brings together students, families, alumni, and community partners to honor UOG’s regional impact and commitment to service.

“Charter Day and Charter Month are more than celebrations. They reflect our mission to deliver public value, with the intent to transform lives and advance the communities we serve,” said UOG President Anita Borja Enriquez. “We invite everyone to join us in recognizing this milestone and all that UOG contributes across Guam and the region.”
