An MH-60S Seahawk assigned to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 25 prepares to land at Joint Region Marianas headquarters to transport senior leaders for an aerial tour of critical infrastructure sites across Guam on July 23, 2025.

Prutehi Guåhan is hosting a public comment workshop and community meeting for the Draft 2025 Programmatic Agreement at 6 p.m. Feb. 13 at the Tamuning Community Center.

The draft agreement establishes a framework for how the military will fulfill its responsibilities under the National Historic Preservation Act when planning and carrying out military projects and activities on Department of War lands on Guam.

The agreement is intended to make sure military readiness and defense requirements are carried out in a manner that protects Guam’s historic and cultural resources.

The agreement also addresses the use of archaeological sensitivity maps, public access planning for culturally significant sites, and ongoing consultation with Guam’s State Historic Preservation Office.

Deadline for comments is Feb. 18.
