Guam’s Latte Treatment Center has received its sixth consecutive accreditation from The Joint Commission, the nation's leading authority on healthcare quality and safety.
The center works closely with the government of Guam and Guam Behavioral Health and Wellness Center to provide residential and therapeutic services to children and youth facing serious emotional and behavioral disorders, as well as their families.
“This accreditation award represents your commitment to upholding the highest standards of healthcare quality and safety for your patients, workforce, and community,” Ken Grubbs of The Joint Commission wrote in the letter announcing the accreditation. “We share that commitment and value the collaboration between our organizations so that all people experience the safest, highest-quality, best-value healthcare across all settings.”
Carissa Pangelinan, director of Guam Behavioral, said her organization was happy to celebrate Latte Treatment Center’s accreditation.
“In a small island community like ours, having organizations that consistently meet such high standards isn’t just impressive, it is essential,” she said. “We thank the LTC leadership and staff for their dedication to our youth and for strengthening the community we all share.”
Latte Treatment Center, which opened in 2005, recently celebrated its 20th anniversary.
