Philippine Airlines says it sees long‑term potential in the CNMI as it prepares to resume direct Manila–Saipan flights on March 29.
PAL officials met this week with the Apatang–Mendiola administration, the Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation, and the Saipan Chamber of Commerce, where regional head Bryan Sansolis briefed business leaders and took questions about the airline’s plans.
Sansolis says the twice‑weekly service—Wednesdays and Sundays out of Manila, and Thursdays and Mondays out of Saipan—was designed for strong early‑morning connections across the Philippines and Asia. He says the schedule also supports medical travel, business exchanges, and family visits.
Sansolis highlighted what he called the shared warmth between “Filipino Care” and Marianas hospitality, saying travelers can expect the same level of service on board.
PAL is also coordinating with the Marianas Visitors Authority and targeting markets in Japan, China, and Southeast Asia to help grow inbound tourism.
The airline’s return coincides with its 85th anniversary, and Sansolis says PAL wants the route to be sustainable, calling on the community and employers to support the service.
