Guam Cannabis Industry Regulation Summit will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 29 in Sinajana.

The Department of Public Health and Social Services will provide an overview of the island’s cannabis program during the Guam Cannabis Industry regulation summit from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 29 at the Central Community Arts Hall in Sinajana.

In addition to unveiling the seed-to-sale tracking system, presenters will discuss the industry’s current regulatory landscape, the history and development of the cannabis program, the licensing process and the current state of the industry.

Public Health Director Theresa Arriola said the summit is meant to give participants an understanding of where the industry has been, where it is now and how it will move forward.

Although recreational cannabis has been legal on Guam since 2019, and medical cannabis has been legal since 2014, there are no licensed retail outlets or cultivators on the island.
