Guam Behavioral Health and Wellness Center, in partnership with TOHGE Inc., has relaunched its annual Safe Drive Home designated driver service for the Christmas and New Year holiday season.

The free service runs through Jan. 3, providing a safe transportation option for individuals who have been drinking and need a ride home. Each ride request can accommodate up to five people.

Operating hours are 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. Dec. 23 and 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. from Dec. 24 through Jan. 3. To request a ride, residents can call the TOHGE Warmline at (671) 787-9276 or (671) 686-9276.

Behavioral Health Director Carissa Pangelinan said the program offers a proactive way to reduce preventable tragedies during the holidays. Last year, Safe Drive helped 88 individuals return home safely.
