The Commonwealth Bureau of Military Affairs is notifying residents of upcoming U.S. military training in Tinian this week.
On Dec. 3 and 4, H-60 helicopters will operate around Tinian’s north side, including an insertion exercise with seven personnel. The team will remain overnight at Camp Tinian before departing by air.
From Dec. 4 through 5, C-130 aircraft will conduct low-altitude training flights between Guam and CNMI airspace. These offshore flights, part of Christmas Drop practice runs, will not involve landings or parachute drops.
Operations are scheduled between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. both days. Officials say aircraft may be seen or heard, but noise is not expected to affect communities.
