Guam senators are scheduled to hold a joint oversight hearing this morning on the Guam Visitors Bureau and the Guam International Airport Authority.
Although tourism arrivals have improved in recent months, overall numbers for 2025 are behind 2024 numbers.
GVB officials are expected to update senators on tourism performance and fiscal 2026 marketing priorities, as well as review 2025 expenditures program outcomes.
Airport officials are expected to discuss the implementation of the airline incentive program and performance metrics, as well as the status of route development and partnership coordination with GVB.
The hearing, which will be convened by the legislative Committee on Transportation, Tourism, Customs, Utilities and Federal and Foreign Affairs, will begin at 9 a.m. in the Guam Congress Building.
