Three senior officials from the Department of Lands and Natural Resources and the Division of Fish and Wildlife are facing criminal charges over alleged misuse of government property.

DLNR Secretary Sylvan Igisomar, acting DFW Director Rosemary Camacho, and Conservation Officer Ignacio Yiftheg were served penal summonses this week.

The charges stem from a September 2024 incident in which Igisomar allegedly used an official law enforcement boat and DLNR vehicle for personal transport between Saipan and Managaha—with his children aboard.

Igisomar is charged with misconduct in public office, theft of services, and child endangerment. Camacho and Yiftheg face multiple counts including forgery and conspiracy, accused of altering official reports to conceal the unauthorized trip.

All three are scheduled to appear before Superior Court Presiding Judge Roberto Naraja on Dec. 15. Failure to appear could result in arrest warrants.
