Credit card service fees are being refunded for individuals who made payments through the Department of Revenue and Taxation online portals.
Emails have been sent from the vendor, LexisNexis Payments, for payments made between Nov. 6, 2024, and Jan. 22, 2025.
Another round of reimbursements for online transactions made between January and April will be issued later.
This follows the enactment of legislation that eliminated credit card fees for individual transactions, including vehicle registration and renewal, property tax payments, driver’s licenses and Guam identification cards processing, and individual income tax payments.
Businesses are still required to pay credit card convenience fees and should not expect reimbursements for transactions.
