Registration closes tomorrow for the inaugural Guam International Dance Festival, which will feature groups competing in cultural and contemporary dance.
The festival, scheduled to take place in Tumon on Dec. 6-7, has already attracted more than 25 teams from Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia, Philippines, India and Guam.
The event is being coordinated by Guam Visitors Bureau.
"We are incredibly excited to provide a platform for performers from around the world to share their passion, talent, and love of dance here on our beautiful island," GVB President Régine Biscoe Lee said in a news release. "We appreciate our partners, especially the Bank of Guam, for supporting this new event and our recovery efforts through our signature events.”
The winners from each division – cultural and contemporary - will receive a cash prize of $5,000, courtesy of the Bank of Guam, according to GVB.
