Guam’s local farmers, artisans, and food vendors are coming together for the Fall Farmers Market from 1 to 7 p.m. Oct. 25, at Guåhan Sustainable Culture’s Food Resiliency Hub in Windward Hills, Yoña, the site formerly known as Hamamoto Fruit World.
Now in its fifth year, the market is organized by Fam Farms in partnership with Guåhan Sustainable Culture (GSC) to highlight local agriculture, entrepreneurship, and community collaboration. Visitors can shop for fresh produce, handmade goods, and local eats while enjoying food trucks and live entertainment.
Fam Farms program coordinator Kallen Perez says the partnership helps raise awareness of the Food Resiliency Hub, a 50-acre property that GSC hopes to use for education and community events focused on food sustainability.
This year’s market also features a Kådu Cook-Off, celebrating Guam’s soup season, along with a kids’ costume contest, and family-friendly activities at the Fun Farm.
