The Commission said cannabis licensees have created approximately 60 jobs across the Commonwealth since the industry was launched in 2019, with eight producers, two processors, seven retailers, and two lounges currently in operation.

As of July 31, FY2025 cannabis-related tax revenue totaled $113,880.33—down sharply from the $686,978.56 collected in FY2024. Commission officials say the decline is expected, citing a 25% reduction in license and renewal fees implemented to support industry viability amid economic headwinds.

The commission also noted that some FY2025 revenue may still be pending, with $61,950 in renewal fees collected ahead of the Sept. 30 deadline.

Looking ahead to FY2026, the commission plans to implement marijuana waste disposal rules, expand compliance outreach, and launch new divisions focused on policy and enforcement
