Guam Visitors Bureau reported continued improvement in tourism numbers in July, with 68,831 civilian air arrivals reported – a 16.3% increase over July 2024.
Those figures don’t include an additional 2,138 people who traveled to Guam with the armed forces. A large military exercise was held on the island in July.
When total civilian and military arrivals are factored in, GVB recorded an increase of 18.5% over July 2024.
While arrivals were down 48.1% from the pre-pandemic record year of 2019, the July figures reflect the second consecutive month that 2025 tourism numbers outpaced 2024 numbers.
Total arrivals were up 17.7% from Korea and 28.7% from Japan.
Guam Visitors Bureau recently unveiled its fiscal 2026 marketing strategy in Korea, reinforcing the sustainability of Guam-Korea air services.
GVB also announced a new campaign called “Guam Grand Sale – Guamazing Deals,” and introduced unique travel content showcasing the island.
GVB President & CEO Regine Biscoe Lee said the campaign will “highlight Guam’s diverse offerings, and position the island as a destination where Korean travelers can enjoy unique and memorable experiences.”
