The annual Mangilao Donne Festival is back this weekend, celebrating Guam’s love for all things pika (spicy). The three-day event runs from Friday through Sunday at the Mangilao Festival Grounds.
The festival kicks off Friday from 5 to 9 p.m., then continues Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Festivalgoers can expect dozens of local food and craft vendors, children’s rides and games, and live entertainment featuring some of Guam’s most talented performers.
Highlighting the event are the popular pika competitions, which include:
- Best Dinanche Competition
- Best Pika Dessert Competition
- Best Kådon Pika Competition
- Biggest Donne Competition
- Hottest Pepper Eating Contest
- Slinging Competition
The Donne Festival has been a staple of Guam’s cultural calendar since 2010, bringing residents and visitors together for a weekend of fun, family, and plenty of spice.
