The seventh Marianas History Conference is set to take place on August 29-31, 2025, at the University of Guam under the theme “One Archipelago, Many Stories: Weaving Stories of Land & Lineage.”

The three-day gathering will bring together scholars, educators, cultural workers, and community members from across the Mariana Islands to share research and perspectives on land, lineage, identity, and intergenerational knowledge. The program will feature academic presentations, plenaries, and cultural events designed to highlight the diverse histories and experiences of the Marianas.

Keynote and plenary speakers include Gavin Deleon Guerrero, Jillette T. Leon-Guerrero, and Manuel “Uncle Manny” Borja. Conference panels will address themes such as language, history, the environment, militarism, and cultural heritage.

Registration for the event is available through GuamTime. General admission is $40, and students may request complimentary access via mhc@triton.uog.edu.

This year’s conference is organized in partnership with Guampedia, the Guam Preservation Trust, and the Northern Marianas Humanities Council, with support from GDEA’s Series 7 Qualifying Certificate Program and Guam Regional Medical City.
