The U.S. Air Force’s largest exercise in the Pacific, Resolute Force Pacific (REFORPAC) is focused not only on military readiness but also on building strong relationships with allies, partner nations, and local communities.
The REFORPAC 2025 exercise involves all branches of the Department of Defense, and allies will run from July 10 to Aug. 8, 2025. The combined force highlights the exercise's emphasis on joint and multinational interoperability and its significance for regional security.
Colonel Brett Cassidy, commander of the 11th Air Task Force, said Saipan plays a critical role in the exercise, serving as a strategic hub for testing the movement of aircraft, equipment, and personnel across the Pacific.
“The Northern Mariana Islands offer a realistic environment for long-range operations and logistical sustainment,” Cassidy said.
He emphasized that fostering partnerships is a key objective. “We’re focused on building strong relationships with our allies, partner nations, and U.S. territories like Saipan,” he said.
Cassidy also highlighted the importance of community engagement, noting that the exercise is being conducted with care to minimize disruption to local residents.
“Our goal is to be good stewards of the location,” he said. “We want to ensure our operations support readiness while respecting the community.”
