The Department of the Interior has awarded the CNMI $8,198,667 in Capital Improvement Project (CIP) funding for fiscal year 2025.

$3 million is designated for law enforcement operational costs. $2.1 million is going towards the Route 33 Beach Road improvement project on Saipan. Over $865,000 is set aside for the West San Jose Waterline project in Tinian. Rota will receive over $715,000 for the Chamorro Village Tourism Infrastructure project. The rest of the funding grant is allocated for CIP administration and infrastructure maintenance.
